JETS

Did not practice: WR Charone Peake (hamstring), CB Trumaine Johnson (quad), CB Buster Skrine (concussion), ILB Kevin Pierre-Louis (foot), RB Isaiah Crowell (ankle), WR Terrelle Pryor (excused absence), DE Leonard Williams (back)

Limited participant: WR/RET Andre Roberts (elbow, foot), C Spencer Long (knee, finger), S Marcus Maye (ankle, foot), TE Neal Sterling (concussion), S Doug Middleton (hamstring)

Full participant: DL Foley Fatukasi (hamstring), DE Nathan Shepherd (shoulder), LT Kelvin Beachum (foot)

What it means: Williams was an addition to the injury report Thursday. Jets coach Todd Bowles said Williams woke up with a sore back Thursday morning. It’s unclear if he will play Sunday.

No change in the practice statuses for Peake, Johnson, Skrine, Pierre-Louis and Crowell. They could also miss Sunday’s game. Peake has already been ruled out by Bowles. Johnson and Skrine probably are out. Pierre-Louis and Crowell could be more up in the air.

Roberts and Long were upgraded to limited Thursday after not practicing Wednesday, so that is a good sign for them. Sterling has not yet been cleared by the concussion protocol, so his status for Sunday remains unclear.

Middleton practiced fully Wednesday, but was limited Thursday. He is Maye’s backup, but Maye should be good to go against the Colts, as the Jets continue to limit his practice action in order to keep him fresh for game days.

Bowles said Wednesday there was a “small chance” defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers — who is dealing with a serious illness — could return from a one-game absence to work Colts-Jets. Bowles said Thursday he’d have a firmer update on Rodgers’ status next week. But he did not rule out Rodgers coaching Sunday against the Colts, saying there is “still a chance.”

Major progress from Sam Darnold

COLTS

Did not practice: DT/DE Denico Autry (hamstring), TE Jack Doyle (hip), TE Eric Ebron (shin, quad, ankle, knee), S Matthias Farley (shoulder, groin, wrist), WR T.Y. Hilton (chest, hamstring), DT Margus Hunt (knee), C Ryan Kelly (calf)

Limited participant: S Clayton Geathers (concussion, neck), LB Darius Leonard (ankle)

Full participant: OT/OG Denzelle Good (not injury related), S Malik Hooker (back), CB Nate Hairston (ankle), LB Anthony Walker (concussion), S Mike Mitchell (pectoral), OT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring), RB Marlon Mack (hamstring), CB Kenny Moore II (concussion), DT Hassan Ridgeway (calf), CB Quincy Wilson (concussion)

What it means: No change in the practice statuses of Autry, Doyle, Ebron, Farley, Hilton, Hunt, and Kelly. Doyle and Hilton aren’t expected to play. Everybody in that “did not practice” group is a starter except Farley. So the Colts could be shorthanded on Sunday.

Geathers, Hooker, Leonard, Hairston, and Walker all had their practice statuses upgraded Thursday. They are all starters.
